Refugio Castro

Refugio Rufus Castro of Uvalde passed away on January 10, 2014 at his residence at the age of 56. He was born on October 13, 1957 in Uvalde to Jose and Elisa Garcia Castro. He married Jessica Lopez in Uvalde on December 24, 1999. He is survived by his wife daughters and sons, Cassandra Castro of Robstown, Refugio De Los Santos, Juan Daniel Castro, Luis Refugio Louie Castro, David Lee Castro and Jose Francisco Joey Castro all of Uvalde, Joe Anthony Flores of New Braunfels, Manuel Lopez, John Lopez and Javier Pineda all of Colorado Hope Martinez of Colorado, Angie Montolva of Austin, Naomi Jimenez of Eagle Pass, Candi Pineda of Austin, Sara Jackson of Colorado sisters, Elena Gonzales of South Bend, Indiana, Rosalinda De Leon, Sylvia Trevino and Rosie Ramirez all of Uvalde brothers, Roberto Castro, Juan Manuel Castro and Joe Lewis Castro all of Uvalde 16 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents sisters, Maria Blanca Castro and Olga Herrera and brother, Deacon Ramon Castro. A rosary will be held on Monday and a vigil on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Refugio De Los Santos, Juan Daniel Castro, Luis Refugio Louie Castro, David Lee Castro, Jose Francisco Joey Castro and Joe Anthony Flores.
