Rene Aguirre

Rene Aguirre Jr. of Uvalde passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 39.

Rene was born on November 3, 1981, in Saginaw, Michigan to Rene and Vickie (Rose) Aguirre.

He is survived by his mother, Vickie Rose Aguirre of Uvalde; sister, Michelle Diaz and husband, Carlos; five brothers, Jesus Aguirre and wife Anita, Andre Aguirre and wife Cheryl, Michael Aguirre, Adam Aguirre and wife, Brigette and Michael Trapp all of Uvalde; favorite uncle, Salvador “Sal” Estrada of La Pryor;  numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and his best friends, Karissa Rindhage and Jolyn Thies that flew in from Michigan to pay their last respects.

Rene was preceded in death by his father, Rene Aguirre Sr. maternal grandmother, Martha Fuller.

Visitation for Rene will start on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 11:00 am at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be Jesus Aguirre, Andre Aguirre, Michael Aguirre, Gabriel Diaz, Michael Trapp, Carlos Diaz, Jesus Aguirre, Jr. and Adam Aguirre.

Cremation under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles.
