Rene Aguirre Sr.

Rene Aguirre Sr. of Uvalde passed away on March 20, 2009 in Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 56. He was born on December 23, 1952 in Uvalde, Texas to Jesus and Guadalupe Aguirre. He married Vickie Rose in Uvalde, Texas on March 16, 1974. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Vickie Rose Aguirre of Uvalde, Texas; one daughter; Michelle Diaz and husband, Carlos of Sabinal, Texas; five sons; Jesus Aguirre and wife, Anita of Saginaw, Michigan; Andre Aguirre and wife, Mary; Rene Aguirre Jr.; and Michael Aguirre all of Uvalde, Texas; and Adam Aguirre of Houston, Texas; one brother; Salvador Estrada of Alaska; eleven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A rosary will be held on Sunday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesus Aguirre, Andre Aguirre, Rene Aguirre Jr., Michael Aguirre, Adam Aguirre, Salvador Estrada, Carlos Diaz III, and Mark Vasquez.
