Reynaldo Lopez

Reynaldo P. Lopez of Uvalde, Texas passed away on December 26, 2021 at Methodist Texsan Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 89.  He was born on July 17, 1932 in Uvalde, Texas to Jesus Lopez and Antonia Perez.

He married Martha F. Valenzuela on December 28, 1950 in Uvalde, Texas.

He is survived by his daughters, Abigail Flores and husband, Ruben and Annette Mendeke and husband, Charlie all of Uvalde; sisters, Margot Ochoa and husband, Joe of Arroyo Grande, California and Azanneth Cota and husband, Bob of Ventura, California; brother, Eloy Lopez of San Antonio; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 9 great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Laban De Leon; parents; brother, Jesse Lopez and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ruben Flores, Jr., Aldo Ray Flores, Sr., John Arredondo, Charles Bernel Mendeke, Don Mclaughlin and Ricardo Perez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Martin Ibarra, Gilbert Ibarra, Emilio Garza, IV, Sabastian Valdez, Dhariyan Morales, Oliver Kennedy and Paul Hernandez.
