Reynaldo Rodriguez, Sr.

Reynaldo Lopez Rodriguez, Sr. of Uvalde passed away on June 25, 2011 at his residence at the age of 72. He was born on February 27, 1939 in Hondo,TX to Dionicio and Maria Lopez Rodriguez. He worked as carpenter for many years in Uvalde. Prior to that, he was a farm worker for many years. He married Victoria Martinez in Uvalde on February 5, 1961. According to family and friends, he was a strong, friendly, loving and caring person. He devoted his life to his family. He was a very responsible person and had many goals in life, which he accomplished. Reynaldo loved his family deeply and will continue to guide them from above. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Victoria Rodriguez of Uvalde four daughters, Reyna Moreno of Michigan Maryanne Perez and husband, Leopoldo and Angie Elizondo and husband, Carlos all of Uvalde and Christina Jaimes and husband, Juan Manuel of Michigan two sons, Reynaldo Rodriguez, Jr. and wife, Elvira of San Antonio and Paulo Rodriguez and wife, Anita of Uvalde sister, Noemi Hernandez of Lubbock brother, Raul Rodriguez of Uvalde 11 grandchildren, Cecilio Moreno, Jr. Dionicio Contreras Perlita Villanueva Jesus Robert Rodriguez IV Victoria Michelle Rodriguez, Reynaldo Rodriguez III Ruth Elizabeth Rodriguez Paulo Rodriguez, Jr. Angelo Rodriguez and Leticia Castro all of Uvalde and Mary Christine Jaimes of Muskegon, Michigan 32 greatgrandchildren 7 greatgreatgrandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents two brothers, Benito and Rodolfo Rodriguez sister, Pauline Zamora and stepdaughter, Diana Diaz. A rosary will be held on Sunday and Monday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesus Robert Rodriguez IV Cecilio Moreno, Jr. Dionicio Contreras Paulo Rodriguez Angelo Rodriguez Reynaldo Rodriguez III Carlos Elizondo and Benjamin Rodriguez.
