R.H. Boultinghouse

R.H. Sarge Boultinghouse of Utopia passed away on August 13, 2012 in San Antonio at the age of 90. He was born on April 3, 1922 in Bandera County. He was the youngest of 11 children born to John Franklin and Martha Louisa Smart Boultinghouse. He lived in Utopia all of his life except for a brief stint in the U.S. Army. Sarge loved to swim, fish, and hunt throughout his lifetime. He trained dogs to do all sorts of tricks. He was a farmer and rancher by trade. He did water witching, removed warts, and was a caregiver to both of his parents. He always had something in his pockets to give away. Sarge was survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Central Christian Church in Sabinal with burial to follow in Waresville Cemetery in Utopia. Pallbearers will be Charlie Boultinghouse, George Goodson, John Boultinghouse, George Franklin, John Chamberlin, and Morris Killough.
