Ricardo Canales

Ricardo R. Canales of Uvalde passed away on December 22, 2014 at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 58. He was born on January 5, 1956 in Uvalde to Victoriano and Maria Rodriguez Canales. He married Josefina Alonzo on December 20, 1980 in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife of 34 years daughter, Sulema Canales three sons, Ricardo Alonzo Canales Jr., Jose Luis Alonzo Canales and Manuel Alonzo Canales all of Uvalde three sisters, Maria Aguero of Uvalde, Fina Leivas of Dimmitt and Jesusita Vasquez of Uvalde three brothers, Eduardo Canales, Gerardo Canales and Victor Canales all of Uvalde five grandchildren, Maria Consuelo Canales, Ricardo Canales III, Lonnie Canales, Alejandra Castro and Michael Anthony Canales numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A rosary will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014 at 7:00 pm at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2014 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
