Ricardo Gomez

Ricardo R. Gomez of Dallas, formerly of Uvalde, passed away on August 5, 2011 at his residence at the age of 81. He was born on April 9, 1930 in Crystal City to Francisco and Maria Ramon Gomez. He married Guadalupe Oliver in Uvalde on August 25, 1956. She preceded him in death along with his parents and sisters, Virginia Tristan and Oralia Vasquez. He is survived by a daughter, Rita Olivarez and husband, David of Dallas sons, Rojelio Gomez and wife, Karyn of La Grande, Oregon Ricardo Gomez, Jr. and Frank Gomez and wife, Sandie, all of Dallas sister, Yolanda Barela of Hobbs, NM 9 grandchildren 2 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A rosary will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 7 PM at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
