Ricky Nevarez

Ricky Nevarez of La Pryor passed away on June 26, 2014 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston at the age of 37. He was born on October 11, 1976 in Carrizo Springs. He married Raquel Salazar in La Pryor on March 10, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 13 years of La Pryor parents, Oscar and Martha Martinez of Asherton daughter, Shaila Nevarez son, Ricardo Isay Nevarez both of La Pryor brothers, Pablo Martinez and Vince Michael Martinez both of Asherton paternal grandfather, Jesus Nevarez of Crystal City and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Enrique Serna maternal grandmother, Maria Serna and paternal grandmother, Rosa Maria Nevarez. A rosary will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church. Burial will be held at La Pryor. Pallbearers will be Carlos Mata, Alfred Lopez Jr., Abraham Gonzales, Santos Diaz Jr., Joel Quijano Jr., Ignacio Mata and Joe Rodriguez.
