Robbie Speer

Robbie L. Speer of Uvalde passed away on February 13, 2018 in Uvalde at the age of 82. She was born on June 15, 1935 in Carrizo Springs to Reyn Rossington and Loree Blackard Rossington. She married Calvin "Pete" Speer on September 3, 1954 in Crystal City. She is survived by her husband of 63 years; three sons, Ronny Speer and wife, Janet of Dayton; Jimmy Speer and wife, Melody; and Jeffrey Speer and wife, Wendy, all of Uvalde; two sisters, Peggy Canion and husband, Leo of Sinton and Debbie Martin and husband, Troy of Devine; brother, Thomas "Boody" Rossington and wife, Martha of Boerne; grandchildren, Justin Speer and wife, Bethany, Cline Speer and Sherida Natho, all of Uvalde; and two great-grandchildren, McKenzie Speer and Madison Speer. Robbie was a retired school teacher who loved to travel. She was a dedicated Spurs fan, and she enjoyed Sunday lunches with her family. She was an active long-time member of S. Getty Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 1:30 PM at S. Getty Church of Christ with burial to follow in Uvalde Cemetery. Mr. Ray Melton will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jerry Speer, Robert Speer, Justin Speer, Cline Speer, Todd Rossington, and Reyn Rossington. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
