Robert Olivarez, Jr. of Uvalde passed away on October 7, 2019 in New Mexico at the age of 36. He was born on November 23, 1982 in Carrizo Springs to Roberto G. and Estella (Luna) Olivarez. He married Miguelina Castro in Uvalde on August 4, 2006.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years of Uvalde; parents of Uvalde; daughter, Marilyn Olivarez of Uvalde; son, Robert Olivarez, III of Uvalde; sisters, Sherry Luna of Uvalde; Tanya Palomo, Angelica Olivarez both of Hondo and step sister, Monica Arreola and Selina Contreras both of Hondo; brothers, Bobby Olivarez of Uvalde, Jason Olivarez of Hondo, step brother, Adam Arreola of Midland; nieces, Julia Andrade, Kierah Olivarez, Karen Alvarez, Arianna Luna, step nieces, Emery Brickles, Kyleigh Brickles, and Lana Contreras; nephews, Jordan Olivarez, Adam Sanchez, Ivan Luna, Julio Castro, Jose Castro, Guillermo Alvarez, Gustavo Alvarez, and Mason Palomo; step nephews, Liam Brickles, Gabriel Contreras and Ryan Arreola; mother in law and father in law, Josefina Lopez and husband, Elias.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Consuelo and Claro Olivarez and Juanita and Rodolfo Luna.
A prayer service will be held on Sunday and Monday at 6:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Church of Christ.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Olivarez, Robert Olivarez, III, Raul Olivarez, Jason Olivarez, Agustin Olivarez, and Jordan Olivarez.
