Roberto Rodriguez

Roberto Luna Rodriguez of Uvalde, Texas passed away on September 16, 2021 in Abbott, Texas at the age of 70. He was born on February 22, 1951 in Marquez, Texas to Alejandro and Maria del Socorro Rodriguez of Melchor Muzquiz, Coahuila Mexico. He is survived by his wife Celia del Carmen Rodriguez of 49 years of Uvalde, his children and their spouses Isaac and Carolina M. Barboza, Jesse and Cynthia Rodriguez all of Uvalde, Texas, Robert and Roxy Rodriguez of Beaufort, South Carolina, and Lionel and Amy Viramontes of Sabinal, Texas, 12 grandchildren Jesse Rodriguez Jr. and wife Julissa C. Rodriguez, Isaac R Barboza Jr., Jonathan Rodriguez and fiancé Valerie Vargas, Eric Rodriguez, Makayla R. Barboza, Nathan R. Barboza, Genesis A. Rodriguez, Justin Rodriguez, Adan Viramontes, Yuriel Yamel Viramontes, Roberto Jesus Viramontes, Galilea Mayela Viramontes, and 7 great grandchildren Jose A. Rodriguez, Jesse Rodriguez III, Joziah Rodriguez, Madalynn Grace Rodriguez, Jose J. Rodriguez, Julius Rodriguez, and Elijah F. Rodriguez. He is also survived by his mother Maria del Socorro Rodriguez and his siblings and their spouses Jose and Rosalinda Palomares, José Alejandro and Martha Rodriguez, and Jorge and Gloria Hernández of Cleburne, Texas also numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Alejandro Rodriguez Rodriguez, his sister Velia Guadalupe Rodriguez, and his in laws Juan and Barbarita Garcia of Melchor Muzquiz, Coahuila Mexico.

Roberto devoted his life to his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. His entire life he drove semi-trucks. He drove to and from many places and did it with passion. Never did he dread working. He made sure he did everything possible for his family to have everything they needed. He always took the extra step for everyone and never left anything at just the minimum. He was a man who had a lecture for every situation and now those conversations will forever be cherished by each person who got one.

He will be missed dearly.

Visitation will begin Thursday, September 23th at 2:00pm. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, September 23th at 7:00pm and  a Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 24th at 10:00am at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
