Rodney Wilson

Mr. Rodney Smith Wilson of Garden Ridge, Texas passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the age of 75. Mr. Wilson was born on March 10, 1941 in Poteet to Margaret (Tausch) and Morgan Daniel Wilson. He married Deanna "DeDe" Spence Rice on October 18, 1980 in Concan. Mr. Wilson retired from Southern Pacific Railroad as a locomotive engineer. He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years; daughters, Melinda Harris and husband Melvin of Gardendale, Denise Kerr and husband Charles of Lytle, Tambi Heines and husband Mark of San Antonio and Shawn Wolfe and husband Harry of Houston; son, D.S. Rice of Concan; brother, Lanny Wilson and wife Marlyn of Canyon Lake; twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, George M. Wilson and Nick T. Wilson.
Graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Concan Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are Cole Harris, Lanny Wilson, D.S. Rice, Cody Rice, Travis Rice and Alex Hankins .
