Rodolfo (Fito) De La Garza, 100, of Uvalde died February 5,2025 at his residence.
He was born on Dec. 21, 1925, to Atanacia (Castillo) and Gregorio De La Garza, in Eagle Pass, TX.
After his service in the U.S. Army during World War II he returned to Uvalde and married Estella Canales on June 4, 1946.
He is survived by one son and five daughters, two brothers - in –law, three sisters - in - law and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and one sister.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Feb.14th at 2p.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, followed by internment at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Silva, Marcus Juarez, Matthew De La Garza, Ricky Rodriguez, Bobby De La Garza and Rick Villarreal.
