Rodolfo Tristan Sr.

Rodolfo Romo Tristan Sr. of Sabinal passed away on December 28, 2008 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 80. He was born on April 13, 1928 in Florence, Texas to Ramon and Manuela Tristan. He married Virginia Gomez on May 6, 1945 in Sabinal, Texas. He is survived by one daughter; Eva Torres and husband, Jesse of Edinburg, Texas, two sons; Rodolfo Tristan Jr. and wife, Nohemi of Uvalde, Texas and Guadalupe Tristan and wife, Estella of Sabinal, Texas; one brother; Daniel R. Tristan of Sabinal, Texas; grandchildren; Lisa Tristan; Raquel Esquivel and husband, Selestino; Rudy Tristan III; Anastasia Moreno and husband, Gabriel; Viviana Brake and husband, Michael; Jose Ramon Tristan; Veronica Piles and husband, Daniel; Estella Loredo; Guadalupe Tristan Jr. and wife, Judy; Christina Tristan; and Jennifer and Virginia Torres; great grandchildren; Adrian, Ruby and Billy Tristan; Joanna and Tinito Esquivel; Ivan and Sierra Tristan; Isaac, Gabe Jr., and Tristan Moreno; Autumn Danuel, Karri, and Kaya Piles; Eddie, Hope, and Emma Loredo; Victoria, Tre, and Lorenzo Tristan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Tristan; parents and one brother, Hector Tristan. A rosary will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel in Sabinal, Texas. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at 3:00 PM at St. Patricks Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery in Sabinal, Texas. Pallbearers will be Jesus Torres, Rodolfo Tristan III, Guadalupe Tristan II, Jose R. Tristan, Selestino Esquivel Sr., Selestino Esquivel Jr., and Danuel Piles. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Tristan, Frank Alejandro, Jesus Alejandro, Joe Guevara, Mike Brake, Jim Davis and Francisco Velasquez.
