Rogelio Gonzalez Ramirez, Sr. of Uvalde passed away on September 18, 2008, at his residence at the age of 52. He was born on December 1, 1955 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico to Simon and Guadalupe Ramirez. He is survived by his wife, Maria Ramirez of Uvalde; three daughters, Claudia Eartok and husband, Nguon of Long Beach, CA; and Michelle Gonzalez and husband, Johnny; and Iris Ramirez, all of Uvalde; two sons, Roy Ramirez, Jr. wife, Yesenia; and Jaime Ramirez, all of Uvalde; six sisters, Candelaria Guillen and Gloria Flores, both of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico; and Yolanda Salazar, Leonor Montalvo, Guadalupe Padilla, and Rosario Espinoza, all of Uvalde; five brothers, Gabriel and Roberto Ramirez, both of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico; and Simon, Jorge, and Antonio Ramirez, all of Uvalde; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Rolando Ramirez. A prayer service will be held tonight, Friday, at 7:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at 3:00 PM in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pastor Manuel Trevino will officiate.
