Rolando Ramos, Sr.

Rolando Ramos, Sr. of Uvalde passed away on February 21, 2016 in San Antonio at the age of 60. He was born on April 18, 1955 in Uvalde to Nicasio Ramos and Paula Lopez Ramos. He married Cruz Rodriguez on October 14, 1978 in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife of 37 years; five daughters, Nancy Martinez of Knippa, Erica Ramos and companion, Angel; Rebecca Cisneros, and Rosebud Ramos and husband, Santiago of Uvalde, and Winona Ramos of Iowa; son, Rolando Ramos, Jr. and wife, Brenda of Uvalde; sister, Elmira Valdez and husband, Javier of Uvalde; four brothers, Nicasio Ramos, Jr. and wife, Margaret of Florida, and Felipe Ramos and wife Gloria, Ernesto Ramos and wife, Rosie, and Patricio Ramos and wife, Linda, all of Uvalde; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Armando Ramos; and daughter, Jessica Ramos. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Iglesia Bautista Unida with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rolando Ramos, Jr., Patricio Ramos, Nicasio Ramos, Patrick Ramos, Rolando Cortez, and Javier Valdez.
