Roman Garza Sr.

Roman G. Garza, Sr., of Uvalde passed away on July 30, 2014 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 77. He was born on January 1, 1937 to Manuel and Francisca Gomez Garza. He is survived by his daughter Maria De Lourdes Trevino of San Antonio, son Roman Garza, Jr. and companion Minga Madrigal of Uvalde, sisters Leonor Pruneda, Paula Resendez both of San Antonio, Maria Gomez of Sabinal and Juana Rendon of Uvalde, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Juanita Orozco Garza, sisters, Simon Olivarez and Guadalupe Vasquez. A rosary will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August, 1, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Cremation is under the direction of RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary.
