Ronnie Norman Potter, 77, of Uvalde, went home to be with the Lord, on July 12, 2024, at Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital.
He was born on January 9, 1947 in Tampa, Florida to Lessie Mae (Lyle) and Norman Potter.
He spent two tours in Vietnam as a radio dispatcher as part of the 25th Infantry Division out of Scofield Barricks Hawaii . He loved listening to the Highway Men, loved action movies, and listening to old sermons of Billy Graham. He loved to help people and spent most of his retired life doing that. He loved God, his Country, and his family.
He is survived by his son, Patrick Potter and wife Angie of Uvalde, daughter Rochelle Chambers and husband Juan of Helotes, and daughter Jennifer Trapp and husband Michael of Uvalde, ten grand children Kristina, Chloe, Hailey ,Hannah, Camylle, Caleb, Olivia, Patrick Jr, Lucas, and Roland. His Nephew Christopher Lyle who was like a second son. Numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and his trusted companion Tanner.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Delores Fales, and his other faithful companion Velvet.
Viewing will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. The family will meet after at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Family Center for a celebration of life at 12 p.m.
