Rosa Alonzo

Rosa Pena Alonzo of Uvalde passed away on September 23, 2009 in Grand Prairie, Texas at the age of 90. She was born on November 4, 1918 in Eagle Pass, Texas to Alberto and Sara Pena. She married Juan G. Alonzo Jr. on December 5, 1955 in Musquiz Coahuila, Mexico. She is survived by one daughter; Juanita Ojeda and husband, Arnoldo of Grand Prairie, Texas; one son; Javier Alonzo and wife, Veronica of Grand Prairie, Texas; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Juan G. Alonzo Jr. A rosary will be held on Friday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Resma, Adrian Alonzo, Danny Villarreal, Genaro Lopez, Arturo Alonzo, and Chris Ojeda.
