Rosa Ballesteros

Rosa M. Ballesteros of Knippa passed away on May 3, 2016 at the Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. Mrs. Ballesteros was born on August 27, 1937 to Maria De Jesus (Reyes) and Romulo Moreno.
She married Samuel Ballesteros in Uvalde, Texas on February 27, 1954.
Mrs. Ballesteros is survived by her two daughters; Leticia B. Ramirez and husband John of Austin, Anna Sandoval of Uvalde; five sons, Joe Ballesteros and wife Julie of Austin, Robert Ballesteros and wife Lela of Knippa, Roland Ballesteros and wife Letty of Uvalde, Samuel Ballesteros and wife Cheryl of Nashville, Tennessee and Chris Ballesteros of Uvalde; two sisters, Arminda M. Luna of Uvalde and Josie M. Gonzales of San Diego, California; two brothers, Jesse Moreno and wife Andrea and Antonio Moreno and wife Sara all of Uvalde; twenty grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ballesteros is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Maria Moreno and Elena Valdez, and three brothers, Richard Moreno, Marcos Moreno and Joe Moreno.
A rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Orlando Ballesteros, Mike Sandoval, Jacob Hernandez, Robert Anthony Ballesteros, Tony Moreno and Thomas Luna . Honorary pallbearers will be Angel De Luna, Noe Ballesteros and Sammy Angel Ballesteros.
