Rosa Flores

Rosa Gonzalez Flores of Uvalde passed away on December 13, 2016 in Uvalde Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 91. She was born on November 9, 1925 in Montell to Alejandro M. Gonzalez and Maria Carbajal Gonzalez. She married John Harris Flores in Camp Wood on February 13, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1949. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Esparza of Eagle Pass; son, John Flores and wife, Lillian of Uvalde; two brothers, Reyes C. Gonzalez and wife, Jackie of S. Carolina and Jose Maria Gonzalez and wife, Estella of Odessa; two sisters, Hortencia De Leon of Uvalde and Sulema Hidalgo of Monahans; six grandchildren, John Flores, Jason Flores, Selina Flores and husband, Ramiro, Deborah Flores, Cristian Esparza and wife, Estelle, and Rodgerio X. Esparza and wife, Eleanor; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Fernanda Hoffman; two brothers, Alejandro C. Gonzalez and Rodolfo Gonzalez; and granddaughter, Marisa Esparza. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Uvalde Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Flores, Jason Flores, Cristian Esparza, Eli Bravo, Samuel Bravo, and Joshua Flores. Honorary pallbearer will be Jordan Flores.
