Rosa Carmen Garcia
Rosa Carmen Garcia, 53, of Uvalde passed away on March 13, 2024, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
Visitation will be held on Sat. March 16, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. and Sun., March 17, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
She was born on June 9, 1970, in Uvalde, Texas to Laurentina (Ibarra) and Valentin Salazar.
She married Gilberto Garcia Hernandez on October 30, 2004, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years of Uvalde; four sisters, Genoveva Moreno of Lockhart, Manuel Salazar Lozano of Austin, Lucia Salazar Guedea of Uvalde and Lydia Salazar Garcia of Austin; brother, Valetin Ibarra Salazar of Kyle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Mariano and Manuela Salazar; sisters, Maria Salazar Patino and Larentina Salazar Guedea; and brother, Ernesto I. Salazar.
