Rosa Robles

Rosa Martinez Robles of Uvalde passed away on February 18, 2009 in San Antonio at the age of 71. She was born on April 28, 1937 in Uvalde to Jose Maria and Elena Mireles Martinez. She married Ernesto Robles in San Antonio, TX. She is survived by her husband, Ernesto Robles of Uvalde; four daughters, Rosie Robles and companion, Norman Mariscal; Estella Hernandez and husband, Mark; Norma Robles; and Monica Gonzales and husband, Adrian, all of Uvalde; two stepsons, Richard Robles and wife Cynthia; and Ronald Robles and wife, Sulema, all of Uvalde; four sisters, Maria Vasquez and Gilda Martinez, both of Uvalde; Anita Garza of Roseburg, Oregon; and Dora Cordova of Millet, TX; one brother, Joe Martinez, Jr. of Uvalde; 10 grandchildren; Alex R. Flores, Crystal Porras, Gabriela Hernandez, Mark R. Hernandez II, Anthony R. Flores, Kritin M. Gonzales, Rodrigo Reyes Jr., Fermin G. Hernandez, Marina Nicole Flores, and Adrian Gonzales Jr.; five step-grandchildren; and 6 step-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Juan Martinez. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009, at 3:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Fr. Wieslaw Iwaniec will officiate. A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Pallbearers will be Ruben M. Martinez; Reyes M. Ramirez III; Danny Mirelez; Juan Martinez, Jr.; Gilbert Alejandro; and David Mirelez.
