Rosa Rosa

Rosa De La Rosa of La Pryor passed away at her residence on May 25, 2015 at the age of 76. Mrs. De La Rosa was born on August 30, 1938 in Musquiz, Coahuila, Mexico to Rito and Juanita (Hernandez) Lira. She married Jesus De La Rosa on February 15, 19 in Musquiz, Coahuila, Mexico. Mrs. De La Rosa is survived by five daughters, Sonia Vera and husband Dimas of La Pryor; Maria Cruz and husband Joe of Carrizo Springs; Rosa Cosper and husband David of Mabank; Dolores Garza and husband Peter of Abilene and Martha De La Rosa of La Pryor; three sisters, Anastacia Siller of San Antonio; Maria De Jesus Lopez of Musquiz, Coahuila, Mexico and Margarita Coronado of Crystal City; two brothers, Martin Lira of Denton and Augustine Lira of Saltillo, Mexico; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. De La Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus De La Rosa, parents, son, Jesus De La Rosa Jr., one sister, Dolores Jimenez and two brothers, Rito Lira Jr. and Honore Lira.
A rosary will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Pryor with burial to follow at La Pryor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Cruz, Zackary Cruz, Dimas Vera, Peter Garza, Peter Gabriel Garza and Michael De La Rosa.
