Rosita Garcia

Rosita J. Garcia of Uvalde passed away at her residence on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the age of 81. Mrs. Garcia was born on April 16, 1934 in Marfa to Pedro and Josefa (Barragan) Aguilar. She married Ramon Garcia on August 21, 1954 in Uvalde. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ramon Garcia Sr.; son, Sonny Garcia and wife Jennifer of Uvalde; daughter, Gema I. Hernandez and husband Moses of Uvalde; two sisters, Ernestina Flores of Uvalde and Emma Sue Cordova of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, Adalberto Aguilar of Uvalde; two grandchildren Nathan Ray Garcia of Austin and Lauren Michelle Garcia of Uvalde; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Garcia is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Elisa Flores; two brothers, Harvey Aguilar and Ismael Aguilar.
A Vigil service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Cremation under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Nathan Garcia, Ben Rodriguez, Mike Acosta, Paul Hernandez, Roland Canales and Gonzalo Casas.
