Roy Edwin Chisum

Roy Edwin Chisum, 80, of Uvalde passed away on January 17, 2024, at his residence.  

He was born on July 5, 1943, in Uvalde, Texas to Alice (Bargsley) and Vance Houston Chisum.

He married Claudia Irwin in Mexico on September 28, 1970.

He is survived by two daughters, Alice Liarakos and husband, Michael and Amy Haynie and husband, Kenneth all of Uvalde; son, Charles “Bubba” Chisum and wife, Jean Ann of Uvalde; honorary son, Shane Davenport and wife, Anna of Uvalde; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  

He is preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Mae (Irwin) Chisum; parents- Vance Houston Chisum and Alice B. Chisum; three brothers, Vance Chisum, Gene Chisum, and Cam Chisum; two sisters, Johnnie Gold and Georgie Arenson. 

A memorial service will held on February 10, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
