Roy Martinez Jr.

Roy Martinez Jr. of San Antonio, formerly of Uvalde passed away on December 24, 2012 at Santa Rosa Westover Hills Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 34. He was born on December 12, 1978 in Uvalde to Rogelio M. and Sandra Rodriguez Martinez Sr.
Roy was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. In 1997, Roy graduated from Uvalde High School. Shortly after Roy found his calling by helping others as a FirefighterParamedic. Roy loved what he did and the lord let him fulfill this dream for 12 years. He was currently employed with the San Antonio Fire Department. Roy was an amazing father and a loving son and husband. He was one of kind and will forever be missed by his loved ones.
He married Laura Elemen on June 28, 2003 in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife of 9 years of San Antonio parents of Uvalde sons, Aiden Roy Martinez and Ethan Ryan Martinez both of San Antonio sister, Desiree R. Martinez of Uvalde 4 nieces and father and mother inlaw Nelson and Margie Elemen of San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Pauline Rodriguez paternal grandparents, Antonio G. and Guadalupe M. Martinez and brother in law Nelson Elemen Jr. A prayer service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
