Ruben Hernandez

Ruben Hernandez of Uvalde passed away in Roma, Texas on February 12, 2011 at the age of 46. He was born on February 18, 1964 in Uvalde, Texas to Raul Rivera and Petra Hernandez. He married Janie Cruz on September 17, 2005 in Uvalde, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 5 years Janie C. Hernandez of Uvalde, Texas father Raul Rivera and wife, Esmeralda of Hamlin, Texas four daughters Margarita Hernandez of Uvalde, Texas Maricela Hernandez and Monica Hernandez both of Belton, Texas and Emma Swift and husband, Steve of Snyder, Texas four sons Ruben Hernandez Jr. and wife, Brandy and C.B. Barboza and wife, Crystal all of Uvalde, Texas Raul Rivera and wife, Mariela of Hamlin, Texas and Jesus Rivera of Snyder, Texas six sisters Maria Trevino, Brenda Morales, and Debbie Garcia all of Uvalde, Texas Vangie Villarreal of Dayton, Texas Linda Garcia and Sandy Morales both of Houston, Texas two stepsisters Ana Perez and husband, Mark of Hamlin, Texas Dahlia Garcia and husband, Patrick of San Marcos, Texas three brothers Lilo Torres of South Dakota, Jerry Torres of Belton, Texas, and Joe Morales of Uvalde, Texas two stepbrothers George Ramos of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Chris Robledo and wife, Janet of St. Petersburg, Florida five grandchildren Aiden Hernandez, Ruben Hernandez III, Nikolai Hernandez, Fermin Barboza, and Adam Barboza numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Petra Morales brother Manuel Hernandez, and niece, Paula Villarreal. A rosary will be held on Monday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstes Knowles Chapel. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 16, 2011 at 10:00 AM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Morales, Robert Morales, John John Garcia, Richard Benitez, Arturo Villarreal Jr., Rudy Villarreal, and Freddy Villarreal.
