Ruben Lopez

Ruben Vasquez Lopez of Uvalde passed away on August 31, 2009 in Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 61. He was born on May 7, 1948 in Uvalde, Texas to Brijido and Eulalia Lopez. He is survived by two daughters; Raquel Lopez Ramos and husband, Juan Antonio of San Antonio, Texas; and Candy G. Lopez of Uvalde, Texas; three sons; Ruben Lopez II and companion Norma Garza; Alfredo G. Lopez and wife, Zwanyka Sanchez; and Ricardo G. Lopez and wife, Noemi Cardenas all of Uvalde, Texas; one sister; Odie Lopez of Uvalde, Texas; two brothers; Ysaias Lopez of Uvalde, Texas; and Brijido Bebe Lopez of Minnesota; eight grandchildren; and ex-wife; Janie Lopez of Uvalde, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; aunts and uncles. A rosary will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ruben Lopez II, Alfredo Lopez, Ricardo Lopez, Juan Ramos, Juan Antonio Ramos, and Ruben Lopez III. Honorary pallbearers will be Italy Ramos, LeAna Lopez, Jewelina Lopez, Kymberly Lopez, Karyna Lopez and Orlando Romero.
