Ruben Rodriguez

Ruben M. Rodriguez of Uvalde passed away on March 10, 2011 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 69. He was born on November 20, 1941 in Zaragosa Coahuila, Mexico to Jesus and Elena Mayorga Rodriguez. He married Estella Padilla on August 25, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Estella Rodriguez of Uvalde, Texas father Jesus Rodriguez of Chicago, Illinois three daughters Grace Mortell of Boerne, Texas Ruth Lehman and husband, Mike of Chicago, Illinois and Blanca Doherty and husband, Mark of Seattle, Washington three sons Joseph Carranza of San Antonio, Texas Joel Carranza and wife, Sherry of Chicago, Illinois and Raymond Rodriguez and wife, Adriana of Uvalde, Texas one sister Emma Flores of Chicago, Illinois two brothers Odilon Rodriguez of Houston, Texas and Augustine Rodriguez of Chicago, Illinois six grandchildren six great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. A rosary will be held on Friday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Sabinal, Texas with burial to follow in Sabinal Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Carranza, Joel Carranza, Mike Lehman, Raymond Rodriguez, Hector Lopez, and Robert Ayala. Father Antonio Hernandez will be officiating. Family suggest memorials be sent to Uvalde Memorial Hospital Cancer Care Regional Center, 1025 Garner Field Rd., Uvalde, Texas 78801.
