Ruben Ruiz Sr.

Ruben Ambriz Ruiz, Sr. of Ingram passed away on May 9, 2009 at his residence at the age of 49. He was born in Uvalde on May 19, 1959 to Juan and Ramona Ambriz Ruiz. He married Arcelia Ramirez in Uvalde on June 10, 1982. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Arcelia Ruiz of Ingram; daughter, April Mancias of Uvalde; son, Ruben Ruiz, Jr.and wife, Eva of Uvalde; mother, Ramona Ruiz of Uvalde; three brothers, John Ruiz and wife, Anna and Bobby Ruiz and wife, Cynthia all of Uvalde; and Richard Ruiz and wife, Elma of Sabinal; two grandchildren, Ariyah Mancias and Adalynn Ruiz; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. A prayer service will be held on Monday at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Templo Cristiano. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Edward De La Rosa will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Roy Martinez Sr., Richard Ramos, Ricky Ruiz Jr., Sam Flores, Richard Velasquez, Nathan Flores, and Darrell Jarvis.
