Ruby Andrews

On September 6, 2021 at 5:07 pm Ruby Ann Andrews passed away.
Born October 1,1933 Ruby Ann was the youngest daughter of George Guy Turner and Ethyl Ruby Howard. She married Donald Leslie Andrews on September 3, 1953 bringing two sons into this world Donald Leslie Andrews, Jr. and William Guy Andrews.

Growing up in Carrizo Springs in the midst of Great Depression was difficult enough for most but especially challenging because her father was a disabled veteran from World War 1. Being the youngest daughter in a family with seven siblings meant Ruby Ann watched her older brothers drafted into the Second World War and her sisters getting married and leave.
Fate would have it that her future husband’s younger brother introduced her to the love of her life, Donald Andrews while they were on a date to a carnival.
Ruby Ann is preceded in death by her husband Donald Leslie Andrews; her brothers Howard George Turner, Fred Pete Turner and George Guy Turner; her sisters Doris Adilina Parsons, Virginia See Harper, Vera Mary Turner and Ethyl Marie Bell.
She’s survived by her two sons Donald Leslie Andrews and daughter in law Carolyn Andrews, son William Guy Andrews and daughter in law Brenda Andrews along with seven  grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and 4  great great grandchildren

Untold friends and family members in the Body of Christ have been influenced by her lifetime of prayers and sharing of God’s love.
Ruby Ann was virtuous God fearing woman of strong faith, renowned for her gentle spirit, warm smile and laughter. All whose life was touched by her will surely miss her prayers and heaven is a far better place to be, with her there.

Funeral Services will be held at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2 pm. An internment will follow at La Pryor Cemetery.
