Ruby Scott

Ruby Scott of Uvalde passed away on June 12, 2018 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. She was born on February 27, 1936 in Del Rio to Charles Jack and Ruby Mae (Hutchison) Veltmann. She married Travis Scott in 1961 in Brackettville. He preceded her in death in 2017. She is survived by a daughter, Anna Coleman and husband, Clif of Midland; three sons, Christopher Scott and Rachel of Santa Fe, NM, John Scott of Three Rivers, and Victor Scott and wife, Melissa of Bastrop; grandchildren, Tiffany Soliz, John Scott, Cole Scott, Macey Scott, Robyn Kostour,Chandler Coleman, Colbie Coleman, and Rosanna Scott; and great-grandchildren, Alanna De Leon and Casaundra Scott. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Jack Veltmann, Jr. and sister, Jacqueline Marie Melancon. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A prayer service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
