Rufina Jimenez

Rufina R. Jimenez of Uvalde passed away on May 12, 2008 in Uvalde Healthcare Rehab Center at the age of 85. She was born in Knippa, Texas on November 16, 1922 to Pedro and Antonia Rivera. She is survived by five daughters; Frances Vasquez of Alamosa, CO.; Ramona Jimenez of Amarillo, Texas; Rita Jimenez and Enriqueta Rangel and husband, Frank all of Uvalde, Texas; and Rose Conde of Hondo, Texas; two sons; Galo Jimenez Jr. and wife Odie ; and Joe A.Jimenez all of Uvalde, Texas; one sister; Rita Rivas of San Antonio, Texas; one brother; Antonio Rivera of San Antonio, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; five great- great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Galo Jimenez Sr. and one daughter; Esther Jimenez. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Rangel; Juan Dusty Morales; Johnny Ray Reyna; Johnny Rodriguez; Gerardo Guajardo Ramirez and Jesse Vasquez.
