Salvador Hernandez

Salvador V. Hernandez of Uvalde passed away on February 1, 2013 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 95. He was born on December 24, 1917 in Georgetown, Texas to Rafael and Cesaria Villanueva Hernandez. He is survived by his daughter, Olivia Garcia and husband Roberto of San Angelo sons, Jose Hernandez and wife Herlinda of Uvalde, Antonio Hernandez and Rafael Hernandez and wife Elida both of San Antonio sister, Anselma Castro of Illinois brother, Macario Hernandez of Dallas 14 grandchildren, 26, great grandchildren, 6 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Emiteria Hernandez, daughters, Minerva Hernandez and Yolanda Garcia. A rosary will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Paul Hernandez, Jose Hernandez Jr., Robert Garcia, Rafael Hernandez, Jay Ybarra, Michael Falcon, Joey Bejil, and Enrique Garcia Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Ybarra, Mick Hernandez, Daniel Hernandez, Mark Falcon nad Justin Hernandez.
