Salvador Pablo Ontiveros of Uvalde passed away on June 24, 2020 at his residence at the age of 88. He was born on January 17, 1932 in Hacienda la Maroma, Mexico to Jose Ontiveros and Maria del Refugio Santillanes.
He is survived by his wife, Severina Rios of Uvalde; daughters, Angela Ontiveros and Ana Thomas and husband, Arthur all of Uvalde; son, Salvador Pablo Ontiveros, Jr. of San Antonio; brother Joaquin Ontiveros of Eagle Pass; 4 grandchildren; Arthur Thomas II and wife, Dana, Christina Marie Thomas, Christopher Stephen Thomas and fiancee, Jennifer Frazer, and Catherine Vivian Thomas; 3 great grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Nathan Thomas and Laura Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Hermelinda Ontiveros and brothers Eduardo Ontiveros, Jose Ontiveros, and Daniel Ontiveros
Visitation will begin on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A rosary will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Salvador Pablo Ontiveros, Jr., Arthur Thomas, Arthur Thomas II, Christopher Stephen Thomas, Daniel Ontiveros, Jr. and John Aviles.
