Salvador Salas, Sr. of Uvalde passed away on February 24, 2012 in San Antonio at the age of 88. He was born on November 30, 1923 in Uvalde. He was born on November 30, 1923 in Uvalde to Eluterio and Sophia Rivera Salas. He is survived by his wife, Maria Berumen Salas of Uvalde, daughter Lisa Salas of Uvalde, Dora Vigil and husband Andy of Colorado sons, Salvador Salas Jr. and wife Eloisa of Uvalde, Andres Salas and wife Lucy of New Jersey , Enrique Salas and wife Teresa, Richard Salas and wife Beatrice, Samuel Salas, Ernest Salas, Danny Salas all of Colorado, Ricardo Ramon and wife Norma, Jesus Ramon, Ernest Ramon and wife Dianna all of Uvalde, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Bertha Chapa, son, Juan Salas, sisters, Isabel Penaloza and Julia Charles. A prayer service will be held on Sunday and Monday at 7pm at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Hillcrest Cemetry. Pastor Eddie De La Rosa will officiate.
