Samuel Blackman

Samuel Winn Blackman of Uvalde passed away on May 12, 2014 at his residence at the age of 60. He was born on February 2, 1954 in San Antonio to Bill Blackman and Jean Franklin Blackman. He married Gloria Hernandez on February 14, 2007 in San Antonio. He is survived by his wife of 7 years daughter Samantha Blackman of Austin, son Terry Blackman of Austin, brothers Bobby Blackman of Dallas, John Blackman of Houston, Todd Blackman of La Vernia, and Billy Blackman of Sabinal twentysix grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held on May 14, 2014 at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Sabinal Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Isaac Garcia, Bobby Blackman, Terry Blackman, Jose Hernandez and Joe Ray Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearer will be Samantha Blackman.
