Samuel Fernandez Jr.

Samuel Lombrana Fernandez Jr. of Uvalde passed away on August 19, 2008 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 49. He was born on November 2, 1958 in Mason, Texas to Samuel and Eoudulia Fernandez. He married Crispina Cruz on April 6, 1982 in Uvalde, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Crispina Fernandez of Brackettville, Texas; mother; Eoudulia Davila of Uvalde, Texas; five daughters; Beatrice Benetiz, Pura Fernandez, Marivel Fernandez, and Doolie Fernandez all of Brackettville, Texas; and Lisa Ann Alegria of Uvalde, Texas; three sons; Samuel C. Fernandez and Joaquin Fernandez both of Brackettville, Texas; and Manuel Fernandez of Uvalde, Texas; six sisters; Maria Fernandez, Evadulia Fernandez, Maria Ysabel Davila, Ysabel Maria Davila, Maria Guadalupe Davila all of Uvalde, Texas; and Janiebelle Fernandez of Minnesota; three brothers; Luis Eraldo Fernandez, Emilio Fernandez; and Rafael Davila Jr. all of Uvalde, Texas, seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Fernandez Sr.; and one brother; Juan David Fernandez. A prayer service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
