San Juana Nava of Batesville, Texas passed away on March 7, 2021 at the age of 65 at her residence. She was born on April 10, 1955 in Batesville, Texas to Anselmo and Roberta (Rodriguez) Nava.
San Juana was part of the Guadalupanas, Cursillos de Colores and taught CCD at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Batesville. She also taught for 20 years for Headstart in Batesville.
She is survived by her daughter, Veronica De La Cruz of Batesville; sister, Teresa Nava of Batesville; brother, Reymundo Nava and wife, Helen of La Pryor and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Herminia Nava Morris and Maria Nava Sanchez.
Visitation will begin on Friday at 2:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Batesville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Danny Morris, Ramiro Sanchez, Johnny Morris, Jeffery Morris, Jerry Canales, Mark Perez, Chris Gutierrez, and Eddie Canales.
