Santiago Saiz, Sr.

Santiago Lopez Saiz, Sr. of Uvalde passed away on November 6, 2016 at his residence at the age of 70. He was born on February 11, 1946 in Uvalde to Crispin Saiz and Rosa Lopez.
He married Lilia Rodriguez in Uvalde in 1998.
He is survived by his, wife of 18 years of Uvalde; mother, Rosa Anaya of Uvalde, daughters, Nelda Ortiz and husband, Jesse of San Antonio; Thelma Saiz and husband, Richard Sotelo of Uvalde; sons, David Saiz, Santiago Saiz, Jr. and wife Kathy, Rosendo Saiz and wife Pauline, Jaime Saiz and Roland James Saiz and fiancé, Lizette Rodriguez all of Uvalde; sisters, Eva S. Torres of Sabinal, Janie S. Gonzales and husband Juan, of Uvalde, Rosa Pacheco of San Antonio, Ruth Ann S. Wright and husband, Tony of Temple, Susan Longoria Turman and husband, Robert of Deridder, Louisiana and Ramona Saiz - De La Rosa of Coleman; brothers, Crispin Saiz, Jr. and wife, Mary Alice of Uvalde; Israel Saiz and wife, Felipa of Knippa, and Martin Saiz of Indiana; 34 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Montell Cemetery.
