Santos Jimenez

Santos Rios Jimenez of Uvalde passed away on December 9, 2013 at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 87. She was born on May 10, 1926 in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico to Santana Rios and Sapopa Villegas. She married Jose Emilio Jimenez in Mexico on April 14, 1942. She is survived by her husband of 71 years daughters, Socorro Rodriguez, Lupe Martinez and companion Juan Torres, Gloria Alejandro and companion Alfredo Sanchez, Rosa Gonzalez and husband Rogelio, Janie Yeackle and husband John, Margarita Jimenez Munoz and husband Mario all of Uvalde, Alicia Jimenez and fianc Tony Hernandez of San Antonio sons, Jaime Jimenez and wife Delia of Van Wert, Ohio, Hector Jimenez, Alfredo Jimenez and companion Sharon Repogle and Oscar Jimenez all of Uvalde sister, Rosa Pina of Allende, Coahuila, Mexico brother, Jesus Rios of Eagle Pass 42 grandchildren numerous great grandchildren greatgreat grandchildren nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents son, Jesse Jimenez grandson, Javier Jimenez two brothers and one sister. A rosary will be held on Thursday and a vigil on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carlos Martinez, John Luke Ratliff, Josh Jimenez, Mark Anthony Munoz, Luis Estrada Jr., Hector Jimenez Jr., Jose R. Jimenez, Jimmy Jimenez, Freddy Jimenez and Jerry Jimenez.
