Santos Luna Jr.

Santos El Coyote P. Luna Jr. of Uvalde passed away on August 10, 2010 in his residence at the age of 81. He was born on August 5, 1929 in Uvalde, Texas to Santos Sr. and Ida Perry Luna. He married Arminda Moreno on February 8, 1951 in Uvalde, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Arminda Luna of Uvalde, Texas two daughters Olga Luna of Victoria, Texas and Gloria Negrete of Austin, Texas three sons Ruben Luna of Houston, Texas Gilbert Luna and wife, Caroline of Hereford, Texas and Thomas Luna of Uvalde, Texas three sisters Irma Alonzo and husband, Joe of San Antonio, Texas Olivia Torres of Uvalde, Texas and Delia Cornell L.A, California two brothers Homero Luna and wife, Olga of Corpus Christi, Texas and Elias Luna of Austin, Texas nine grandchildren eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents grandson Sgt. Joey Luna Alvarez Jr. brothers Victor Luna, Ernesto Luna Sr. and Armando Luna two sisters Maria L. Cruz and Estella Rodriguez. A rosary will be held on Thursday and Friday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be August 14, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Ramos, Ruben Luna Jr. Gilbert Luna Jr. Tommy Luna Jr., Frank Mariscal, and Steve Martinez. Honorary pallbearer will be Ruben Ruiz.
