Santos Olivarez, Jr.

Santos P. Olivarez, Jr. of Uvalde passed away on January 29, 2010 in San Antonio at the age of 72. He was born on November 21, 1937 in Uvalde to Santos Olivarez, Sr. and Emma Perry. He is survived by his partner of 13 years, Elida Moreno of Uvalde daughter, Lisa Olivarez of Uvalde two sons, David Olivarez, Sr. wife, Rita of Dallas, TX and Richard Olivarez of Uvalde four grandchildren, Ruben Martinez, Jr. David Olivarez, Jr. Randy J. Martinez and Robin Kay Olivarez one greatgrandchild, Destiny Martinez and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Armando Joe Olivarez. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Martinez Ruben Martinez, Jr. David Olivarez, Jr. Hector Moreno John Aviles and Richard Olivarez. Honorary pallbearers will be Domingo Velasquez, Manuel Vasquez, and David Solis.
