Santos Ruiz

Santos V. Ruiz of Uvalde passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 at Amistad Nursing home at the age of 73. He was born on September 13, 1941 in Concan to Guadalupe and Adelina Villarreal Ruiz. He married Esperanza Velasquez in Uvalde. He survived by three daughters, Minerva Isaiz and husband Guadalupe of Uvalde Margot Gonzlez and husband Frank of Oneonta, Alabama and Mireya Ruiz and companion Roland Reyes of Uvalde two sons, Santos Ruiz Jr. and wife Ermila of Rocksprings and Guadalupe Ruiz and wife Laura of Uvalde five sisters, Sabina Garcia of Uvalde Isabel Betty of Palo Pinto, Tx. Dominga Madrigal of Mineral Wells, Tx. Josefa Trevino and Inocencia Gutierrez both of Uvalde one brother, Antonio Ruiz of Uvalde sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister Santos Garcia and grandson Guadalupe Isaiz. A rosary will be held Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Gustavo Hernandez, Juan Roque, Ramiro Salazar, Gerardo Gonzlez, Jesus Isaiz and Johnny Martinez. With cremation to follow.
