Sara Vara

Sara Vara of Uvalde passed away on May 25, 2011 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 81. She was born on February 4, 1930 in Blewett, Texas to Epifanio and Santos Salinas Vara. She is survived by her daughter Ofelia Vanderhauf of Los Angeles, California two sons, Ramiro Quiroga of Harker Heights, Texas and Antonio Quiroga of Uvalde one sister, Teresa Vasquez of Sonora, Texas five brothers, Ramiro Vara of Ft. Collins, California Antonio Vara of Nevada, Jose Vara, Alberto Vara and Gilbert Vara all of Sonora, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Santa Garcia Mendoza, sister Guadalupe Casarez brothers Arturo Vara and Rosendo Vara. Prayer service will be held on Thursday May 26, 2011 at 7:00 at RushingEstes Knowles Chapel. Graveside service will be held on Friday May 27, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Uvalde Cemetery.
