Sarah Baker

Sarah Belle Baker of Victoria, formerly of Uvalde, passed away on February 11, 2018 at Twin Pines North Nursing Home and Rehab Center at the age of 95. She was born on March 14, 1922 in Knippa to Z.T. Duncan and Stella Jane Aston Duncan. She has lived the last four years and ten months at Elmcroft of Victoria, an assisted living facility in Victoria. She is survived by her son, Terry D. Baker (late wife, Rita Baker) of King, NC; daughter, Rebecca Jane Roper and husband, Tim of Victoria; and two grandchildren, Heather Baker and Tiffany Brown. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Samuel Lyman Baker. They were happily married more than sixty years. They had a great life in Uvalde and Pagosa Springs, CO where they had a vacation home. She is also preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Winfred Alice Duncan Mullett amd Stella Mae Duncan Robinson. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM in Knippa Cemetery. Rev. Steve Peyton will officiate.
