Secundino Talamantez

Secundino G. Talamantez of Uvalde passed away on September 27, 2010 in Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 89. He was born on July 22, 1921 in Uvalde, Texas to Dario and Silvera Talamantez. He married Socorro Morin in Piedras Negras on July 22, 1955. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Socorro Talamantez of Uvalde, Texas two daughters Socorro Davis and husband, Adolfo of San Antonio, Texas Yolanda Torres and husband, Eddie of Dallas, Texas three sons Juan Talamantez and Antonio Talamantez and wife, Maria all of Uvalde, Texas Dario Talamantez and wife, Quesi of Seguin, Texassixteen grandchildren Juan Alejandro Talamantez Jr., Erick Talamantez, Mirella Talamantez, Antonio Elvis Talamantez Jr., Elizabeth Talamantez Maldonado, Alicia H. Talamantez, Josephine H. Talamantez, Dario Talamantez Jr., Robert Talamantez, Yolanda Torrez, Mario Juarez, Ricardo Juarez, Jackly Melendez, Gabriel Juarez, Yesenia Garza, and Elie Garza twenty great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents three brothers, Dario Talamantez, Placido Fernandez and Santos Zamora one grandson Roberto Juarez. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Friday October 1, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
