Seferino Padilla

Seferino Z. Padilla Sr. of Uvalde passed away on March 8, 2008 in Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 82. He was born on November 26, 1925 in Harlingen, Texas to Manuel and Agustina Padilla. He is survived by his wife, Lenora S. Padilla of Uvalde; five daughters; Irene Romero and husband, Jim of Commerce City, Co.; Hermelinda Nimock and husband, Gregory of San Antonio, Texas; Maria Oralia Mendiondo and husband, Rick of Harlingen, Texas; Virginia Villasana and husband, Patricio; and Delia Padilla all of Austin, Texas; seven sons; Frank Padilla and wife, Helen; Raul Padilla and wife, Tila all of San Antonio, Texas; Seferino Padilla Jr. and wife, Elizabeth of Ft. Worth, Texas; Arnold Padilla and wife, Cecilia of Uvalde, Texas; Alfred Padilla; Adam Padilla and Luis Padilla all of Austin, Texas. A rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrst Cemetery. Father Wieslaw Iwaniec will officiate. Pallbearers will be Marco Padilla, Phillip Padilla, James Romero, Daniel Padilla, James Padilla, and Gregory Nimock Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremy Padilla and Josh Romero.
